Coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing much uncertainty for everyone so Leavers.com.au will take all the uncertainty out of your upcoming Leavers holiday in 2020 by answering the following frequently asked questions.

1. Is Leavers 2020 still on?

At this stage it’s “business as usual” for the 2020 Leavers as there are currently no restrictions that have been put in place by government over the dates of your holiday that will restrict you from celebrating Leavers with your friends.

2. I haven’t yet booked for Leavers 2020, should I?

Yes! All students deserve the opportunity to celebrate the end of their school years. We are hopeful that Leavers will go ahead this year, but in the event you are not permitted to check-in to your accommodation due to Government restrictions, we’ve got you covered.

3. What happens if 2020 Year 12 final exam dates are changed?

If 2020 final exam dates are changed, the dates for Leavers may also be changed. If Leavers dates are changed, your booking will automatically convert to the new Leavers dates. These new dates will be advised as soon as available and will be no later than the 28th of February 2021.

4. What if I am unable to attend on the new Leavers dates?

If the Leavers dates are changed and you are unable to attend on the new dates, the following will apply:

  • You will receive a refund of all monies paid over and above the non-refundable deposit (excluding existing amendment fees and credit card charges if applicable).
  • You will receive a Credit Voucher for the non-refundable deposit plus a VIP pack including Leavers singlet & cap valued at over $200.

5. What happens if Leavers is impacted by Government restrictions that prevents Leavers from going ahead?

If Government restrictions prevent you from checking-in to your Leavers.com.au accommodation prior to the 28th of February 2021, the following will apply:

  • You will receive a full refund of monies paid over and above the non-refundable deposit (excluding existing amendment fees and credit card charges if applicable).
  • You will receive a Credit Voucher for the non-refundable deposit plus a VIP pack including Leavers singlet & cap valued at over $200.

6. How can I use my Credit Voucher?

Credit Vouchers will be issued from the 1st of March and will be valid for 3 years. All Credit Voucher holders will also receive a VIP pack including Leavers singlet & cap valued at over $200. You can use your Credit Voucher in any of the ways listed below:

  • Make a new booking for a special event called “Green Light Australia” that we will hold in December 2021, if the 2020 graduation class is not permitted to check-in due to Government Restrictions by the 28th of February 2021. More information to be provided at a later date.
  • Make a new booking for Leavers in 2021, 2022 or 2023.

7. What if I don’t want a Credit Voucher?

You can give or sell your Credit Voucher to another person without limitations. For example, you may have a brother, sister, relative or friend who can use the Credit Voucher in any of the ways listed above.

If you do not want a Credit Voucher your options are:

  • Give it away to a sibling or friend who can then book Leavers 2021, 2022 or 2023 or “Green Light Australia”.
  • Sell it to someone including the VIP Pack (total value over $350) and they can book Leavers 2021, 2022 or 2023 or “Green Light Australia”.

In addition to the above options, if Leavers.com.au are unable to offer Leavers accommodation for 2020 Year 12 graduates for check-in prior to the 28th of Feb 2021, Credit Voucher holders will have the option to choose to exchange their Credit Voucher for a full refund of their deposit. Refunds will be available from the 1st of March 2021 until the 31st of March 2021. If this option is chosen, you will not receive a VIP pack.

8. Will there be any fees charged if I need to change my booking for 2020?

Effective from 1 March 2020 there will be NO FEES for any changes or amendments to 2020 Leavers bookings.

9. How will I know if 2020 Leavers is impacted due to Government restrictions?

Leavers.com.au will advise you immediately if government restrictions are going to mean that dates have changed or that you will be unable to check into your accommodation and will automatically send you the information you require to claim a refund or credit voucher.

10. What happens if I cancel my Leavers 2020 booking now?

There is no reason to cancel your booking now, but if you do, then your deposit will convert to a Credit Voucher. See Question 6 for information on how you can use your Credit Voucher. This applies to bookings cancelled due to concerns about COVID-19 from 1 March 2020 onwards.

11. What happens if I cancel my booking now and I have paid more than my deposit?

If you cancel your booking now, or any time before final payment is due, all monies paid over and above your non-refundable deposit (excluding existing amendment fees and credit card charges if applicable), will be refunded to your nominated bank account. Please email info@Leavers.com.au with your bank account details. The email MUST come from the email address registered in your booking. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days.

Please note that there is no benefit in cancelling your booking before final payment is due.

12. I don’t want to cancel my booking, but I have paid for my 2020 Leavers in full or I have paid more than my deposit. Can I get a refund of monies paid?

Yes, you can claim a full refund for everything you have paid above your non-refundable deposit (excluding existing amendment fees and credit card charges if applicable).

Please email info@Leavers.com.au with your bank account details. The email MUST come from the email address registered in your booking. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days.

13. Can I suspend my lay-by payment plan?

If you wish to temporarily suspend your lay-by payment plan you may do so at any time. To do this please:

  • Log into your booking and click on the pink eye symbol next to your name
  • Go down to lay-by details
  • Select cancel my layby
  • Are you sure you want to cancel your lay-by “yes”

We have waived the lay-by termination fee for 2020 lay-by payment plans effective from 1 March 2020.

14. Should I continue paying my lay-by payment plan?

It is your decision whether you continue with your payment plan or put it on hold. If you decide to cancel your booking due to concerns about COVID-19 or if government restrictions stop you from checking-in to your Leavers accommodation, will advise you immediately and will automatically send you the information required to receive a refund of your lay-by payments.
